We don't need you to have a degree, we don't need you to be the master of math, we just need you to care about learners and willing to learn how to help them become successful.
We offer amazing evening hours (after school) and are a great fit for High School students looking for their first job, university students looking for a great work environment, as well as adults who want to be an integral part of the success of others.
Our peak hours are 3pm - 5pm but we are open until 7pm and will have extended summer hours, so we can match our schedules to your availability! Responsibilities:
Teach/tutor in-center using the Mathnasium Method(TM), terminology, and teaching practices Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
Qualifications:
Passion for math and working with students Excellent interpersonal skills Eagerness to learn and be trained Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I Ability to balance various ongoing tasks All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check as well as demonstrate their ability to work well with young students.
During the school months, candidate must be available from 4:
30pm - 7:
30pm a minimum three days per week, preferably Monday - Thursday plus Saturdays 10am - 2pm.
During the summer months, candidate must be available 10am - 2pm Monday - Friday for a minimum of three days per week, preferably Monday - Friday (no Saturdays).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
