This individual will perform maintenance and repairs complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment located at an off-site, field location.
Responsible for communicating repair options to customers, ordering correct parts and completing the repair in an efficient, timely manner in order to satisfy customer needs and achieve department profitability goals.

Responsibilities:
Advises customer of problem areas and recommend repair solutions, gain customer approval and order appropriate parts to repair equipment promptly Prepares machine for service work utilizing proper safety procedures (locks, blocking, lock-out procedures) to avoid injury Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer's specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions and maintains equipment and components Maintains good customer relations and support; communicates customer needs to shop management Plans and controls cost of repair jobs Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return Maintains company equipment - keeps it in good, clean, and orderly condition Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; e.
