Apply Today!Job Summary and Qualifications The Manager maintains 24-hour accountability for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of activities of the staff in the ISS nursing unit and interventional areas of Imaging. Ensures patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physicians and the Hospital policy and procedures. Coordinates the organizational improvement activities. Oversees the development, review and revision of policies, procedures and practices guidelines. Assists the Director in overseeing the financial operation of the department. Maintains knowledge of current practice standards with regards to care of the Imaging and ISS unit patients. You will along with the Director, integrate department services with the hospital's primary functions. You will coordinate and integrate services within the department and with other departments. You will develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. You will recommend a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care. You will continuously assess and improve department's and the organization's performance and facilitate involvement of staff in Performance Improvement activities. You will maintain appropriate quality control programs. You will provide for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in the department. You will assist the Director in development of the departmental budget and assures fiscal responsibility in the financial operations of the unit. You will review, approve, and complete employee timesheets in Kronos system. You will assure that staff members maintain competency to perform specialized skills required by the department or the Hospital. You will along with the Director, assure that at least eight unit specific staff meetings are held annually and that communication with staff is interactive and information provided reflects organizational activities at all levels. You will in conjunction with the Department Director and Charge Nurses, assure that patient care assignments are made according to the nurse's skill, acuity and staffing availability and based on the State licensing law and Hospital policy. You will assist staff with clinical needs as well as other departments as required for skills or specialized care of patients. You will demonstrate knowledge of current regulatory agency standards. Provide direction and education to staff members to assure that nursing practice in the Department is in compliance with current standards. You will participate in interdisciplinary processes in the Hospital and integrates the Department's services ices with the Hospital's primary functions. You will collaborate and communicate with other health care providers outside the hospital to promote continuity of care for the patient/ family/ caregivers by providing information to primary physician, home care, and inpatient settings, multi-specialty physicians, advance practice nurses, pharmacists, social workers, nutritionists, and physical therapists, etc. You will participate in local or national nursing groups or educational programs that relate to practice. n What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support Registered Nurse Bachelor's degree required 5
years of experience as an RN2
