We are seeking a patient accounts specialist to join our team.
We are looking for an individual with experience in insurance reimbursement and managing account receivables in our office.
The account specialist will be responsible for working with our patients to find ways to help them afford the care that they need.
The position involves reviewing and managing patient copays, deductibles and self pay accounts.
This person would also review insurance claims submitted, denials and resubmissions as well as follow up with the verifications and pre authorizations.
Responsibilities:
Review patient accounts Examine and evaluate payments and denials on patient accounts.
Verify patients benefits.
Coordinate and review coverage for the services needed.
Communicate with the providers and patients about what the coverage is and the options for self pay.
Set up payment plans that work within the patients budget Communicate with insurance companies to process corrected billings and covered services Follow up on personal injury cases that are closed and waiting for payment.
Follow up on patient referrals to other facilities Acquire medical records from patients' other providers when needed Assist with patient care Job Type:
