The manager will provide overall management of the logistics operations overseeing all activities of the logistics department (Receiving and Shipping).

POSITION
Responsibilities:
Manages the activities of the Receiving and Shipping teams to include:
Timely and accurate inbound material receiving Timely and accurate outbound material shipping Accurate material inventory management Supports and enforces all aspects of the Safety Program and ensuring all direct reports receive safety training.
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
Develop and implement driver dispatching and tracking program.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Manages all aspects of the movement, storage, and distribution of goods or materials by means of move tickets, stock transfers and shipping orders.
Partners with Production and Customer Service to ensure best opportunities to achieve customer satisfaction.
Responds to and takes are of inquiries or compliance issues related to shipping or transportation matters.
Resolves issues or complaints that arise.
Lead an environment that supports continuous improvement processes (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping and other tools of lean manufacturing) that identify opportunities and execution of plans for cost reductions, throughput, productivity, etc.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Seven to ten years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five to seven years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Three to five years' supervisory or management experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
